Chelsea are preparing to sell Mason Mount, with an opening £40m bid from Manchester United knocked back instantly.
On Talksport, Rory Jennings despaired about the whole affair. As he rightly pointed out, if Chelsea’s owners want £70m for a player with one year left on his contract. That means they know he is “brilliant.”
And if they know he’s “brilliant” – why are they selling him? Why didn’t they sign him up to a new contract the moment they came in to the club? How is not paying him what he wants and then spending that money on a new player a sensible move?
