Things have gone pretty quiet on the Mason Mount front – but not for long according to Sky Sports.
Dharmesh Sheth has just been on Sky Sports news saying that a “formal bid” from the Red Devils is expected “soon.” He doesn’t know exactly when, but it sounds like a matter of days rather than weeks.
What he does know is that there’s still a big gap in valuation between what Chelsea are willing to accept and what Man U are offering. That seems like it will be resolved eventually, but Chelsea don’t really want to get bogged down battling for a million or two. Imagine a situation where Mount is still on our books in August. It just sounds messy.
