Chelsea are seemingly about to get their whole summer bailed out by Saudi Arabian clubs, who have entered the market in a big way this season and are looking to buy Premier League assets at big prices.
Seemongly jealously fans of other clubs have claimed that there’s something afoot. But on their ESPN podcast Julien Laurens and Gabriele Marcotti denied that they thought anything was wrong or untoward about the bids Chelsea were getting.
As they point out – what about the money coming in to Wolves or Arsenal for their players? Is that suspicious?
It’s incredibly fortunate for Chelsea, there’s no denying that. But as far as we can tell, there’s nothing dodgy about it at all.
