There will be plenty of clubs competing with each other to sign the top talents from around the globe this summer, as there always will be.
But we are seeing an increasing amount of transfer battles specifically between English clubs, and Chelsea are truly involved in the majority of these races lately, most of the time with Arsenal!

And the Romeo Lavia race also involves both of the London clubs. But it does appear that it is Liverpool who are leading in this one right now and have got ahead of Chelsea and Arsenal to try and sign Lavia from Southampton, that is at least according to the latest update from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Romano tweeted the below earlier today, but as you can see, he also still mentions competition coming in from Chelsea and Arsenal for Lavia. So could Chelsea move in on Liverpool’s deal? We will soon find out!
