Manchester United have dropped their interest in Chelsea left back Marc Cucurella and turned their attentions to Tottenham’s Sergio Reguilon instead.
United looked close to sealing a deal to get Cucurella to Old Trafford this week but it now looks like it’s fallen through largely because Chelsea selected Cucurella last night.

The Manchester Evening News report that Cucurella is Manchester United’s preferred choice but United want the option to terminate a loan in the January transfer window. Because Cucurella has already played for Chelsea this season, he cannot be transferred to a third club in a season.
So United have now switched their attention to Tottenham left-back Sergio Reguilon.
I wonder if Chelsea and Mauricio Pochettino will be regretting picking Cucurella last night now when really it just seemed unnecessary especially when all the reports were going around about him joining United.
Chelsea will be hoping another club comes in now.
