New name on Chelsea’s attacker list – but half the Premier League already want him

The fact that Christopher Nkunku is out until December has shaken up Chelsea’s summer transfer plans significantly, and we could see another big addition to the squad in attack this summer.

Simon Phillips has just done a rundown on our potential targets on his Substack, updating us on some of the more established ones like Michael Olise and Mohammed Kudus, as well as throwing a new one into the mix.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has been developing into a really interesting versatile attacker at Leicester, and is now ready to step up again with James Maddison having moved to Spurs. Phillips says the attacking midfielder is “happy” to stay put and help the Foxes fight to return to the Premier League – and he made a double goalscoring start to life in the Championship at the weekend.

The bad news for Chelsea is that apparently “at least eight” Premier League teams want him. It could be quite the battle.
