The expectation remains that Chelsea will sign Moises Caicedo this window

One of the longest transfer sagas of all time could soon finally be ending, although that might also be a bit of wishful thinking!

The Moises Caicedo to Chelsea transfer saga has now reached the level of the player pushing so hard for the move that he is refusing to be in squads and at training with Brighton this week and last weekend.

Sources: Chelsea now targeting Championship midfielder!

The official word from the club was that Caicedo was injured, but a host of reliable outlets have claimed that is just untrue. And it looks to me that it’s now inevitable that Caicedo is forcing the move to Chelsea after his club continue to reject offers that are more than fair.

The Guardian report that their sources have insisted Caicedo’s absence from training was not down to concern over his injury. He has grown unsettled and is a doubt to play in Brighton’s opening game of the season against Luton.

The report goes on to say the expectation remains that Chelsea sign Caicedo, even if it means paying £100m.
