It’s been a rather bleak 24 hours of Chelsea news – in fact it’s been a rather bleak 18 months. So how about something a little lighter?
We can’t see why any player on earth would be keen to join us at the moment, but it seems there is one out there.
Patrick Dorgu of Lecce has told Ekstra Bladet (in quotes translated by SportWitness) that joining Chelsea remains his dream.
The 18 year old left back has looked really impressive since stepping up to Serie A, and if weren’t already overloaded with players in that position, we’re sure we’d be looking at him:
“Chelsea is my dream to play for. I have been a fan of them for over 10 years, so it would be a huge dream to play for them,” the youngster said when confronted about rumours of Barcelona wanting to sign him.
Still, with many years until he reaches his peak, this could be a slow burner to watch in the future. We hope he keeps developing, and eventually gets his wish of coming to play at the Bridge.
