Chelsea pair back this Sunday – striker soon after

Both Moises Caicedo and Noni Madueke missed Chelsea’s 0-0 draw against Bournemouth on Sunday, but should be back for this weekend’s game against Aston Villa.

That’s according to the Daily Mail, who add that Armando Broja will play a friendly this week in an attempt to finally return to match readiness. It’s all good news, especially if the former two are ready to train in full all week and try to keep working on the cohesion we still seem to lack.

This doesn’t surprise us too much, Caicedo’s absence at the weekend seemed to be as much from tiredness as anything else, and Madueke’s injury was barely even mentioned it was so minor.

We have full faith that our free week means they’ll both be fine by Sunday – and hopefully pretty well rested in fact. Caicedo will make a big difference in the first team, and Madueke will mean some threat to bring off the bench. Both would have been very useful against Bournemouth.
