Chelsea player ‘viewed as untouchable’ despite interest coming in from big clubs

There has been a lot said and reported on the future of one Chelsea player in the last couple of weeks, and that is because there is interest coming in for him.

According to SPTC sources, both Manchester City and Real Madrid are interested in signing Chelsea defender Reece James next summer.

As in the article above though, Chelsea have no intentions of selling him, and James himself has no interest in leaving the club as of right now.

Further to this, insider Ben Jacobs has penned his latest exclusive Chelsea column for SPTC today and he backs up the report.

Jacobs says that James is ‘viewed as untouchable’ by Chelsea and also, the player is is committed to Chelsea.

Jacobs said: “Despite some links with Real Madrid, Reece James is viewed as untouchable right now. James is committed to Chelsea and Chelsea won’t consider a sale. It is simply not true that Chelsea would allow James go in the next two windows even for an astronomical offer. Lots of top clubs would love James so it’s normal a few might look, especially if Chelsea don’t get UCL next season, but he has named captain with a view to leading Chelsea for many seasons to come.”

Of course, James has just been named as the new permanent captain at Chelsea for this season and beyond, which shows you what he means to the club and to Mauricio Pochettino.
