Chelsea’s grim season could be about to get a lot worse.
The Blues have had their easy run to start the season – and managed just 1 win.
They now go into a much harder spell – Spurs, Arsenal, Man City, Newcastle, Brighton and Man U, as well as west London derbies with Fulham and Brentford – are all on the horizon.
That’s a punishing two month spell, and we look almost guaranteed to head into the Christmas period in the bottom half of the table at the very least.
Players will return from injury, but unless Christopher Nkunku comes back and starts playing like Leo Messi from the moment he steps on the pitch, we’re still going to struggle.
A reshuffle will be necessary before then with two suspensions for our next game now. Axel Disasi will likely slide to right back, we’ll see Ben Chilwell at left back and Levi Colwill moved into the middle with Thiago Silva.
I don’t think Chelsea is performing so badly. They are only failing to score. I think if Sterling can stop being selfish, the team can score. If Mudryk can stop feeling the pressure of scoring and just paly normally, the team will soon start scoring. The day Chelsea starts scoring, many teams will be in trouble.
