EA Sports’ successor to FIFA has just come out, and fans have already noticed one interesting quirk in the ratings. Chelsea’s £40m deadline day signing Cole Palmer is rated 66 – one lower than his 67 rating of a year ago.
People who know more about computer games than us say that this isn’t actually unusual – there’s been general “deflation” of stats all around.
Still, football fans being football fans, you can guess this has gone down a treat with other fanbases.
