Mauricio Pochettino reveals whether he is fining Nicolas Jackson for yellow cards

Chelsea will be without striker Nicolas Jackson on Monday night when they face Fulham in their next Premier League match.

He is able to play tonight against Brighton due to it only being a suspension through yellow cards given rather than a red card, but he will miss the next league match after earning a fifth yellow card against Aston Villa on Sunday. That’s five yellow cards in six matches, and he truly needs to fix up in that department.

Sources: Chelsea offer Premier League striker a key role to join them in January!

So as a result, will Pochettino be fining his new striker?

Well, not exactly. The Blues boss says he will be fining Jackson but not for any money, and he will be doing it in another way, a way he prefers not to reveal.

In words cited by The Telegraph, asked if Jackson had been fined, Pochettino replied: “Not really, not in the way you maybe think. It’s not money..”

Laughing, he added: “It’s private. I don’t like to talk about money with players. But in a different way [he is punished], of course. It is about learning. He needs to learn not only in this, but in other areas. We are going to see if he is clever enough to adapt and accept advice, and also to learn from mistakes.”

So I guess that means Jackson will be collecting the cones and balls after training for next two weeks and bringing the coaches their coffees at lunch time!!
