Pochettino admits to a ‘bad feeling’ but ensures it’ll be tough to play against Chelsea

There has been some more quotes from Mauricio Pochettino circulating around on Saturday evening which one can only assume is more embargoed quotes from his pre-match press conference for Bournemouth today.

Pochettino spoke to the media on Friday afternoon previewing the game today and of course, the focus was how Chelsea have started this season, which hasn’t been great in terms of results at least.

EXCLUSIVE! Stadium rebuild plans (pref to stay on site), CFC could appoint Group CEO, Mitchell and Edwards links, Who’s impressing Poch in training? Big Academy segment, and loads more…

But Pochettino believes Chelsea have deserved more and there has been a bad feeling after some of the results they have had. He believes Chelsea were better than Liverpool and West Ham and deserved to win those matches.

As he has been saying though a lot in recent weeks, he urges patience with a very young squad at Chelsea right now.

The Evening Standard have picked up on all the latest quotes from Pochettino last night.

He says: “[Players] are not machines. They need to settle with all the circumstances that happened in the last few months. We need to give time.

“That’s why it can maybe effect the results that didn’t arrive but we are happy with the process and the way that the team is showing the way we want to play.

“We were better than Liverpool and West Ham. I think we deserved [more]. After five games if we are talking about 12 points and through to the next round of the Carabao Cup, you say ‘fantastic, what a job’ but maybe it hides something.

“No, there’s a bad feeling because of the result and another feeling because the process is in a good way. We need to recover the injured players and then for sure we will be in a good way and it will be tough to play against us.”

He’s not wrong with anything he is saying here. But the results will need to come, starting today hopefully!
