Mauricio Pochettino’s team is out for today’s game against Aston Villa, and it’s not one that is going to please the many fans desperate to see Ben Chilwell at left back.
Pochettino has insisted that he’s more keen on building chemistry between the 4 he’s chosen, while supporters don’t want to see Levi Colwill on the left while 3 left backs sit on the bench.
For the third week in a row, all eyes will be on that left flank as the manager tries every setup except the one that so many fans want to see. If things go badly, expect short fuses in the crowd.
As well as the three left backs there are two goalkeepers on the bench, showing that there’s still a critical lack of options for the coach with so many players out injured. The return of Armando Broja is positive, but there’s still almost no experience among the subs for tough situations later in games.
