Chelsea are among the Premier League teams with an eye on Leny Yoro, Caughtoffside have claimed today.
The Ligue 1 wonderkid has broken into Lille’s team despite being just 17, and is catching the attention of scouts from all over.
The reports say that the Blues are among the teams who have scouted the defender “extensively” and reports that our scouts have been “very impressed” with the kid’s performances at such a young age.
Yoro has a contract until 2025 with Lille, so there is no immediate rush. He could well sign a new deal in the coming months, which would make signing him significantly harder, but given we can’t offer him any pathway to first team action right now (bar going on loan to Strasbourg) it’s hard to see him turning down the chance to continue playing and developing in the French top flight with his current team.
Perhaps Chelsea will try a buy-and-loan-back technique like they did with Malo Gusto and Kendry Paez?
