Chelsea welcome Brentford to Stamford Bridge tomorrow for the lunchtime kick off in the Premier League.
Chelsea are just a couple of points above Brentford in the league at the moment but they will fancy themselves to take all three points from this one after the confidence and momentum they have gained in the last four games, going unbeaten.
They should have beaten Arsenal last weekend only to throw it away in the last 15 minutes after being 2-0 up. But this weekend they will look to come away with all three points.
Brentford are certainly no slouches though, far from it, and they will absolutely be arriving at The Bridge tomorrow and believing they can get a result.
So what is Paul Merson saying?
Merse for me right now is one of the better pundits around, so I always take note of what he says and what he predicts.
Well Blues fans, you’ll be pleased to hear that Merson thinks it will be a 2-0 win for Chelsea!
He wrote on Sportskeeda: ‘Chelsea were rolling the other day – they were comfortably the better team than Arsenal for 75 minutes of that contest. Robert Sanchez has a rush of blood which led to Declan Rice’s goal and suddenly, Arsenal restored parity and looked like they’d get a late winner.
‘That said, if you takeaway the last 15 minutes, Chelsea dominated that game and looked like they’d keep their winning run goal with a statement result. I fancy them to beat Brentford comfortably , so I’m going for a 2-0 win.’
