One Chelsea loanee got a fairly rare opportunity to start at his club last night and actually helped them to an impressive win.
Not all of our loan players moves are going to plan so far this season, and you can look at what a nightmare move Andrey Santos to Nottingham Forest has been so far as a negative example.
But others are getting plenty of chances, and some are in between that.
Cesare Casadei is the latter. He is getting minutes for Leicester City, but he is not yet a regular starter.
However, his performance on Leicester’s 1-0 win against Sunderland last night will certainly help his case to start more games. Casadei was actually named Man of The Match, and he racked up some impressive stats on the night too.
Casadei vs Sunderland:
– 90’
– 56 Touches
– 39/41 passes completed
– 6 Passes into the final 1/3
– 2 Key passes
– 2 Big chances created
– 2 Shots on target
– 0.67 xG
– 5/8 Ground duels won
– 6/7 Aerial duels won
– 6 Ball recoveries
Not bad at all!
