Fabrizio Romano is today reporting that Stuttgart’s in form striker Serhou Guirassy has a €17.5m release clause in his contract active from January.
The forward has broken Bundesliga records by rattling in 15 goals in 9 games already this season, and predictably teams all over Europe have been taking a look. The fact that he’s available for a fixed fee (let alone such a low one) will increase interest in him even further.

Chelsea aren’t specifically mentioned, but given their voracious appetite for signing players of late, plus their perennial lack of natural goalscorers, we’d be very surprised if they weren’t at the very least keeping an eye on Guirassy’s situation.
If we continue scoring as we have in the last few games there’s no problem. However if we fall back into our rut in front of goal, we can see the 27 year old being an emergency option considering his great value.
