Former Premier League striker gives honest verdict on Nicolas Jackson

It’s getting to the point in the season now where we can really start to form some judgements and verdicts on some of Chelsea’s summer signings.

Of course, the season is long and many things can happen and form and go up and down. Some players also might take longer to find their feet than other players. We saw that example with Mykhailo Mudryk when he arrived in January, he took a very long time to find any kind of good form.

Sources: Chelsea are looking at new centre backs and left backs for the upcoming transfer windows, with one left back target in particular named!

So some of these Chelsea players might still come good, those who aren’t performing yet. And Nicolas Jackson can unfortunately certainly be put in that category.

The striker is just not doing the business for Chelsea yet, and unfortunately at a club like Chelsea, when you are signed to come in and be the goalscorer up top, time is something that not many will give you.

Former Premier League striker Peter Crouch just doesn’t think Jackson is good enough.

“Nicolas Jackson, let’s be honest, is not going to be the answer long-term. He does a lot of great work outside the box, but is he going to get you 15-20 goals? I don’t think so,” Crouch told TNT Sports 2 as cited by The Chelsea Chronicle.

  1. He (Jackson) helping himself with Chelsea salary and his not helping club bay scoring goals.Hi selfish man and then lazy Man

  2. Maybe I have been watching a differe player than the one you are describing. He will be a leading striker in the EPL!

  3. Scoring goals is complex but looks simple Jackson has the energy it’s just a matter of confidence but at Chelsea there is a problem especially club expectations plus a weak coach and weak team.

  4. let’s not judge Jackson yet he is some times very waist full in front of goal! he is growing in confidence i think with our next game we’ll se a different player like in the past we blues supporters gave all who came to the club and did not make an immediate impact a chance including the management so pls be patientWin or loose we still the Blues
