Mauricio Pochettino has just taken a very important press conference ahead of tomorrow night’s EFL Cup game against Blackburn.
Our injury plague has continued, meaning plenty of questions about various Blues and their level of fitness. One of our stars has been missing since the first game of the season, but he will start tomorrow according to his manager:
“I can confirm he is going to start. I want to confirm only one player but it is good for the team, it is good for him to start from the beginning of the game,” Pochettino said of his captain, Reece James.
That’s huge news, and we’re delighted. Not only will James be able to ease back in with an hour or so against lower league opposition, the fact that our next game isn’t until next Monday potentially gives him a chance to be ready for that too.
Of course our priority is to take things slow with these injured players, especially James, and Malo Gusto should be available for that game too, but no matter how many times we’re stung by James coming and going, we can’t help but get excited in moments like this.
I wonder for how long ??? he never had these continuous injuries before the Yank changed the medical stall. Eight players out injured,– as I have said many times, lack of knowledge has bough in matchstick men. Only need to touch the Pansies for them to be injured. Gone are the days of Chopper Harris, Osgood, Wise, and others also Bremner, Hunter Jones of Leeds, with Roy Keane, etc WHEN FOOTBALLERS WERE MEN NOT WIMPS !!!!!!!!!!!
