It looks like one knowledgeable Chelsea journalist is expecting some surprising changes to Chelsea’s starting lineup tomorrow night.
The Blues face Blackburn Rovers in The Carabao Cup tomorrow evening at Stamford Bridge, and it looks like there will be a couple of surprise starts in goal and at the back.
The Evening Standard‘s Nizaar Kinsella believes that goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic, who has not played a game for Chelsea yet since arriving in the summer, will start tomorrow.
He also predicts that Benoit Badiashile will start at centre back in his first game back after a long-ish time out injured.
As well as that, his predicted lineup also throws up some surprises in the frontline, with Noni Madueke getting another start.
Nizaar’s predicted Chelsea XI (4-3-3) vs Blackburn is:
Petrovic; James, Badiashile, Colwill, Cucurella; Ugochukwu, Gallagher, Fernandez; Sterling, Jackson, Madueke.
A noticeable absence here is Moises Caicedo, who might be rested.
