Chelsea have just released their weekly injury update, although this time the big news is not who is on there, but who is not on there.
Reece James has missed almost the whole season so far, but finally his name is no longer listed among the injured.
Given that that list includes even people who are in partial team training, we can conclude that James is, at least medically speaking, ready to play.
After such a long period out it’s very unlikely he would be ready to start a game until after the upcoming international break anyway, but his suspension for some behind the scenes nastiness with a referee will rule him out of tomorrow’s game with Burnley. He will need some time to build up match fitness once again, but that will come in the games following the break and his suspension.
We will of course find out more from Mauricio Pochettino in his press conference in 20 minutes, but this looks to be superb news.
unlikely to get a run out since he is banned
