Robert Sanchez wins Premier League save of the month

Robert Sanchez has won the Premier League save of the month for September for his effort against Aston Villa.

Sanchez’s team were under serious pressure, and he had just made a good save from an effort from Luca Digne. A set piece fell to Nicolo Zaniolo on the volley just 8 yards out, and he caught it perfectly.

Sanchez should have had no chance, but he somehow got a strong hand to it and pushed it over.

Unfortunately for Chelsea, Malo Gusto was then sent off, and the Blues lost the game anyway. But Sanchez knows he did his part to keep us in the game.

He will be needed more than ever once we return from the international break, we’ve got our first really hard run of the season coming up, and Sanchez will have to be at his best if we’re to keep up our recent upturn in form.
