“Showing his character” – Pochettino picks out one Chelsea player for praise despite defeat

Chelsea are off the back of another poor defeat in the Premier League this season, with them racking up now.

Before yesterday, Chelsea were actually unbeaten in four matches and were finding some good form. But they undid it all in 90 minutes yesterday by losing at home to Brentford, who were below them in the league at the time and are a team that they really should be beating if they even want to get close to playing European football next season.

Sources: Chelsea are looking at new centre backs and left backs for the upcoming transfer windows, with one left back target in particular named!

Chelsea were all over Brentford in the first half and should have had it sewn up on 45 minutes without a doubt. And there was many positives to take from that half at least, with Cole Palmer being the shining light.

Blues boss Mauricio Pochettino has managed to offer some praise to Palmer despite another defeat as Chelsea manager.

In words picked up by A Stamford Bridge Too Far, Pochettino said: “He arrived in the last moment of the transfer window, he’s playing like he’s here for 10 years and showing his character and personality.”
