Chelsea were denied what looked like a fairly clear penalty yesterday in the 23rd minute when a Brentford defended ran into the back of Raheem Sterling as the ball was floated towards him.
There’s no denying Sterling down went down very easily – perhaps too easily to get the decision. But on the other hand, he gets shunted in the back, and there’s no way he can be expected to compete fairly for the ball after that.
