We thought it was a surprising choice the first time Cole Palmer stepped up to take a penalty for Chelsea, but having now seen him slot two, we totally understand it.
The attacking midfielder helped to earn the spot kick when he challenged William Saliba in the air for a cross which ended up hitting the Frenchman’s arm. He then stepped up nervelessly in the wet conditions and lashed the ball in to make it 1-0.
Pure calm from him, and the perfect start for us.
