Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Chelsea are actually in talks with one of their current players regarding a new contract extension.

Romano confirms that Chelsea and Mauricio Pochettino are both happy with Gallagher and he cannot now see him being sold in the January window.
In fact, he suggests talks over a contract are already happening but will take some time and are not in advanced stages yet.
"I feel Chelsea want to have some stability. I'm not sure Chelsea will sell Conor Gallagher in January. Discussions for a new contract are not advanced stages but will take some time. Chelsea and Pochettino are happy with Gallagher."
