Levi Colwill has played at left back pretty much all season for Chelsea, and now has been called up by England, with a strong chance of playing there again.
Gareth Southgate was coy over whether he’d be in the centre or on the left in his presser today – “we like him in both positions” was all he would say.
Wherever he is used now, it’s great to see Southgate basically confirming that the youngster is now a major part of England’s plans, and likely will be for years to come.
Let’s not forget that earlier this summer his future looked very uncertain. Now he looks nailed on to be a regular for club and country long term, and we hope that means a long Blue future for him.
