Enzo Fernandez and Mykhailo Mudryk are surprise absences from Chelsea’s first team squad today.
Given both have played a lot, leaving one on the bench might have been understandable as part of a rotation policy, but the fact that neither are included in the squad at all shows that there’s something more serious going on.
Olivia Buzaglo is well connected at the club due to her work with Chelsea TV, and she says that both have “small injuries” which are “nothing to worry about.”

We’re relieved to hear that – although we’re worried about today’s game as much as anything.
That was backed up by the equally well connected Nathan Gissing, who simply responded that the pair are “injured.”

We don’t have any more information than that at this stage, but we’re sure Mauricio Pochettino will give us an update, perhaps even before kick off.
Let’s hope we can get away with 3 points today, and recover both for our next game.
