Chelsea may have been given a boost in their attempts to sign one of their striker targets after the latest report.
We keep hearing about Chelsea being keen to bring in a new striker in 2024, and there are a couple of names that keep coming up as the two they are most keen on.
Ivan Toney of Brentford, and Victor Osimhen of Napoli.
Fabrizio Romano: “Chelsea are keeping an eye on Victor Osimhen, but despite some reports stating that he’s agreed a contract with Liverpool, my understanding is that he hasn’t agreed anything with any club. There is not even an agreement over a new contract with Napoli." pic.twitter.com/XnHZAh8viL

Osimhen would be the more expensive option of the two, but there is a situation brewing up there due to his current club, Napoli, posting some pretty silly stuff about the striker online and there being seemingly no way back from those antics.
Chelsea though, might want to bring their new striker in for January, and there could be an issue with that on Osimhen’s side at least.
Journalist Nizaar Kinsella of The Evening Standard believes Osimhen is trying to now force his way out of Napoli, but Napoli are unlikely to entertain any sale until the summer next year rather than the winter window.
Discussing the 24-year-old on the London Is Blue podcast, he said: “I think that Victor Osimhen is trying to force his way out of Napoli in the long run, but Napoli are very good at holding firm and don’t really get bullied by their players. So I think that’ll be tricky to get Osimhen over the line in January.”
QUESTION: is Toney in training currently? If so are we monitoring his training or at least getting reports on his training?
