We’re heading rapidly back into transfer silly season – and you truly know you’re there when you start getting quotes from players’ families.
That’s what we’ve got today – the father of Napoli senstation Kvicha Kvaratskhelia claiming his son is a Real Madrid fan and would do anything to go there.
“Khvicha always dreamed and still dreams of playing for Real Madrid. I am sure about it,” the player’s father was quoted as saying by Fabrizio Romano.
“For Khvicha, playing vs Real Madrid was special. In my family, everyone is a Real Madrid supporter, except me.”
Chelsea have been linked plenty in recent months and we wouldn’t rule ourselves out at all, despite these comments. We all remember how keen Mykhailo Mudryk was to go to Arsenal before we swooped in.
All we can hope is that Madrid’s existing duo of Vinicius and Rodrygo prove to be so good that Los Blancos don’t spend any more in those positions. The exciting Brazilian duo are certainly doing well enough to make that a reality right now.
But if Madrid come calling, nobody can say no. We know that all too well as Chelsea fans.
