BBC pundit names Chelsea player ‘who is the culprit’ in Newcastle defeat

Chelsea lost 4-1 away at Newcastle United in the Premier League yesterday afternoon in what was a truly embarrassing second half showing from The Blues.

Mauricio Pochettino has called it their worst performance of the season and for the first time has pointed his finger at the players being poor, and they truly were poor.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea looking to bring back former defender who left for a big club not so long ago!

The senior players, the younger players, they were all collectively terrible and should be hanging their heads in shame this morning.

Fans paid a lot of money to travel up and watch that rubbish yesterday afternoon, and BBC pundit Chris Waddle has named the one Chelsea player ‘who is the culprit’ for the defeat.

And ironically, in a young and immature Chelsea team, it was the oldest player on the pitch, Thiago Silva.

Silva made a very poor error leading to one of the Newcastle goals and Waddle describes it as being sloppy.

“Thiago Silva is the one who is the culprit. I don’t know what’s going through his head. He just loses his bearings. He plays a really sloppy ball and it is an easy, easy goal for Joelinton,” Waddle told BBC Radio 5 Live (4:24pm, 25 November as cited by The Chelsea Chronicle).
