Chelsea fans will have to set their alarms to watch little Messi if they secure latest wonderkid deal

As another transfer window approaches, Chelsea are getting hungry for more wonderkids.

The last few windows have seen them accumulate some of the best young talent around, and they’re not stopping now. A report in Mundo Deportivo says that we’re about to go beyond anything we’ve seen so far in our attempts to sign a kid know as “Messinho” from Palmeiras in Brazil.

Now we won’t be needing to pay his €60m release clause in full, but the fact it’s set at that level despite his age (just 16) shows how highly rated he is by his club.

Any deal for the talent, real name Estevao Willian, would have to take the form of our similar move for wonderkid Kendry Paez – we sign him then loan him back until he’s 18 and legally allowed to move to Europe.

With Paez it’s worked a charm, and we watch his ridiculous improvement week on week back in Ecuador.

Could we soon be staying up late to watch little Messi ball out for Palmeiras? Who knows…
