Chelsea will be looking for a new striker in January, we can be pretty sure of that.
We’ve heard enough rumours at this point, and whether it’s Ivan Toney or Victor Osimhen, it feels like there will be attempts to sign elite targets, even if there’s also an acceptance that it could be extremely hard to get anything done.
Apart from that, our needs are more situational. We’re back to an almost fit squad, and it’s getting pretty crowded in the dressing room now. Players like Ian Maatsen and Trevoh Chalobah will be getting itchy feet.
So perhaps January will see more sales than acquisitions. One thing we’re sure about is that there will be major loan reshuffles. Andrey Santos is not playing nearly enough, and Diego Moreira is struggling for minutes too. We’d expect both of them to move pretty soon when the window opens, assuming the clauses are there in their deals.
