Chelsea player tells two new signings that the club would have a ‘Spanish mafia’

One Chelsea player reveals that he told two new signings before they arrived this summer that the club would have a Spanish mafia!

Obviously the comments are tongue in cheek from left back Marc Cucurella, who is know for his jokey ways and fun personality!

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea targeting shock move to sign Bayern Munich player!

But the Spaniard has been speaking to the Chelsea website this weekend and there was questions regarding both Robert Sanchez and Moises Caicedo joining the club this summer. Both player of course played alongside Cucurella at Brighton, so it was nice for them all to reconnect and have some familiar faces alongside them coming to Stamford Bridge this summer.

Caicedo as well, is a native Spanish speaker, so all three could communicate well in their little ‘Spanish mafia’ as Cucurella refers to it as!

And of course, the new coaching staff are all Spanish speaking, or at least some of them are.

“I am very happy they joined,’ said Marc on Sanchez and Caicedo’s arrivals. “I told them it’s an important club, they would feel very good here, that I am happy here, and that we would have a Spanish mafia!

“That we can speak as well with the manager in Spanish makes it easier to explain our mistakes or what we need to do on the pitch.

‘We have a really good team, are very close inside and outside the pitch, and I think when these relationships are good then on the pitch we can play together.”
