Chelsea are among the teams looking at one of the Bundesliga’s top young talents, according to Caughtoffside.
They claim that the Blues have been impressed by 19 year old Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, who moved from Manchester City’s academy to Dortmund in the summer of 2020. The report says that a fee of €40m is being suggested for one of English football’s gems.
The article says that our interest would be focused on bringing the youngster in next summer, once he’s had a little more time developing in the Bundesliga – although he’s not getting as much game time as he could be, even at Dortmund.
Bynoe-Gittens has been involved in 6 games this season, and may feel that a move to Chelsea would actually work against his interests and present him with less opportunity for minutes.
However, if he wants to roll the dice and move to a team which is making a point of accumulating all the best teenagers available, Chelsea are a good option for him.
