There was so much confusion and chaos going around yesterday after Chelsea’s defeat to Newcastle United in the Premier League.
Mauricio Pochettino was angry after the defeat, like all of us fans were as well, and that came across in his post-match words.
Pochettino seemed to suggest that his Chelsea players were no longer going to get a day off on Sunday and they would return to training instead.
But after that, Nicolas Jackson was spotted in the dressing room at Villarreal seemingly celebrating with his old team mates. And then Mykhailo Mudryk was doing a tour of London in a helicopter. There wasn’t much ‘training’ to be seen, if any at all.
And it turns out, it doesn’t look like they did go in to Cobham at all, especially not for training, as picked up by two reporters later in the day on Sunday.
Nicolas Jackson went on a pre-planned trip to watch former club Villarreal beat Osasuna and was pictured afterwards in the dressing room.

🚨 Mauricio Pochettino had demonstrated his angst during an interview with Sky Sports, suggesting that a normal way to react to such a poor display would be to cancel the scheduled Sunday off in order to do extra training.
