Chelsea are very much working the transfer market right now and advancing with their plans for the winter window.
As well as this, they are advancing for plans for the summer window as well by working ahead two windows at a time.
That is according to journalist Simon Phillips, who has put an extensive general transfer update article out today on his Substack site titled ‘Chelsea’s transfer plans for January and beyond’.
And it is in this article where you can find an Everton player who has seemingly joined Chelsea’s potential shortlist of strikers they are looking at for January.
Although Simon has not named Dominic Calvert-Lewin as a main striker target, he has mentioned him as one potential alternative that Chelsea have on their shortlist.
To be frank, I actually think Calvert-Lewin would fit the bill for what Chelsea need. But he’s nowhere near the level of an Ivan Toney and a Victor Osimhen, who remain the two top targets for Chelsea in that area, per the report.
