TeamTalk can confirm that Chelsea are going to push for a new deal for Conor Gallagher, according to a piece they have just published.
They’ve listed it as an exclusive, so we’d imagine that they have some kind of new information. But otherwise this is a continuation of the story we’ve been hearing pretty steadily since the summer.
Chelsea were oddly keen to sell Gallagher, even up until deadline day, but he stayed put and has played every Premier League game since, including many as captain.

That’s convinced the club he’s worth keeping – well, we could have told them that in August.
We’re not getting dangerously close to the final 18 months of his contact, so renewing him is a priority. He’s valued at €40m by Transfermarkt right now, but that will only drop if he enters the final year of his deal.
The piece says that “the likelihood is that he will sign a new deal.” Let’s hope so, and let’s hope it’s soon. He needs to be rewarded for his loyalty and good performances, and the academy to first team connection needs to remain strong.
