Former Chelsea defender believes the club made a big ‘mistake’ this summer

Many Chelsea fans and pundits didn’t quite agree with all of the transfer moves that the club made in the summer despite having a pretty good window.

They spent a lot on bringing in new players, but they also gutted out and sold some of the players who let’s face it, simply had to leave.

EXCLUSIVE! Victor Osimhen’s stance on whether he wants to join Chelsea or not – plus Chelsea’s current stance on signing him!

They made changes in pretty much every key area of the pitch, one of which being in the sticks.

Kepa Arrizabalaga joined Real Madrid, albeit only on a season long loan deal. And Chelsea then signed two goalkeepers to replace him, and the earlier departed Edouard Mendy.

Robert Sanchez arrived from Brighton, and Djordje Petrovic wasn’t far behind him coming in from the MLS in USA.

Petrovic has yet to feature for Chelsea and it is Sanchez who is the main number one stopper. But former Chelsea defender Scott Minto thinks it was a mistake that Chelsea didn’t sign a proper ready-made number one this summer.
