Kendry Paez is coming to Chelsea, and will be training with his new teammates next week, the Daily Telegraph are reporting.
We heard a couple of weeks ago that his visa had been granted, and we’re now headed to the next stage of the process. Kendry will be training with his future teammates for a few weeks, and we’ve even heard he’s going to be at the Newcastle came in the Carabao Cup next week.
Matt Law’s piece today claims that the wonderkid, who was signed in the summer for £17.25m, will make his first of several visits to the UK this winter to help him acclimatise ahead of his move to Chelsea in 2025.
He can’t join the club until he’s 18, and even then it’s going to be a big change, so this seems like a sensible move. Fans won’t get to see him on the pitch, but even a little bit of training with the team will help smooth that move over.
