“We are getting to know each other better” – Striker promises close links with “amazing player” behind him

Nicolas Jackson scored his 7th goal in 16 Premier League games, but it was Cole Palmer who stole the show on Saturday at Stamford Bridge.

The attacker switching from the centre to the right wing and was a real threat from out wide in the second half. That brought Jackson more into play, as Palmer was able to get to the byline down the right, while Raheem Sterling effectively came to play alongside Jackson as a second striker.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Jackson was full of praise for his teammate, and insisted the pair were getting to know each other better and better:

“Cole was amazing today and is an amazing player. We are getting to know each other better and if you start winning, the winning ways will come back.”

There’s still plenty to be improved in terms of well synchronised moves which will see the two of them make the most of their skills on the counter attack, but between Palmer’s passing and dribbling and Jackson’s rangy speed and determination, there’s the potential for a great combination there.
