Latest injury update on Christopher Nkunku and Malo Gusto reveals whether they’ll feature tomorrow

There was excitement today when Chelsea’s latest injury report was released and showed both Malo Gusto and Christopher Nkunku as “joining team training.”

We’d seen photos of Nkunku with the group earlier this week, and clearly Gusto is now with him too after a minor problem.

This caused Mauricio Pochettino to be asked by some hopeful journalists whether either would feature in tomorrow night’s FA Cup game against Aston Villa.

Pochettino was able to confidently say that neither would play in that game, but also give some hope by saying they were both possibilities for next week’s midweek game against Liverpool in the Premier League.

As much as we want to beat Villa tomorrow, we’d rather have those guys playing in the Premier League, so we hope Pochettino’s prediction is accurate. With them, we have a chance. Without, it’s hard to see us getting a results off the table-topping Reds.

  1. Is he ever going to play, because if he is always going to be injured after every game he plays then we may get see him next season.
