Mauricio Pochettino revealed in his press conference yesterday that Ben Chilwell and Benoit Badiahshile were fit enough to return to his squad – but they won’t be ready to start just yet.
That means he has pretty much the same squad as Tuesday available, which was pretty much the same squad as last Saturday. There’s only so much the coach can do to mix things up, given he’s constantly looking to pick his strongest team. The temptation would be to rotate either Enzo Fernandez or Moises Caicedo for a game, but there are simply no other options available in their position right now.
There is one change we expect, however.
The team looked a little blunt without a striker up top on Tuesday, so we’re fairly sure Armando Broja comes back in for a home game, despite his struggles against Preston last weekend.
That pushes Cole Palmer out to the right, with Raheem Sterling potentially playing on the left. Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke will be waiting on the bench to make an impact.
