Another loan off to terrible start as Brazilian forward finds his feet at the worst time for Chelsea

Chelsea wanted to sell Armando Broja in January, that much was made clear by various briefings.

In the end they had to settle for a loan to Fulham, hoping that by getting him playing (and hopefully scoring) regularly in the Premier League they could boost his value for a summer sale.

Sadly for all involved, it’s been the worst possible start for this move. The Whites wanted him in because Rodrigo Muniz just wasn’t finding the net with any regularity. But the Brazilian scored in first game following Broja’s arrival, and has now just scored in the second too.

Broja is left stuck on the bench, just where he was at Chelsea.

There’s still time to turn things around, but so far so bad for yet another loan in a season which has seen almost all of them backfire. If he wants to make a success of it, he needs to get on the pitch and start scoring immediately.
