Sky Sports have just revealed a graphic which claims that Chelsea’s chances of qualifying for some form of European football is now apparently 23.6%.
Thanks to Liverpool’s win over us in the Carabao Cup final, the European places now extend down to 7th. The team currently holding that spot is Brighton, who are just 4 points ahead of us, with an game extra played.
After two consecutive cup matches we return to league action this weekend with a game against Brentford. That will be a very tough challenge for a tired team against a side that always seems to do well against us. But if we can dig out a win, we will significantly boost that percentage figure.

There are just 12 games left in the league, so each one matters a lot. We may be just 4 points behind Brighton, but there are also three teams between us and them, so we may yet need to win a lot of games to make it.
