On the occasion of the Carabao Cup final, Transfermarkt have released a combined XI of Chelsea and Liverpool players, picking each position by the most expensive in either squad.
Of course this is just their “market value” according to the site rather than an opinion on their quality or ability, but it’s an interesting way of comparing the sides. Liverpool end up with 6 to Chelsea’s 5.
It’s a fearsome team, that’s for sure. Liverpool dominate the wings while Chelsea control the middle of defence and midfield. We wonder if that’s how things will shake out in the game today?
