Chelsea are keen on bringing in a new striker in the summer as they look to do something they have failed to do in the last three windows.
The Blues still have a big hole in attack in the shape of an out and out centre forward, and this is something that remains on their wish-list going into the summer transfer window and something that has also been on their wish-list in the last three windows.
But according to our writer Simon Phillips, writing on his own Substack site this week, Chelsea were unable to find the right opportunity to come in and will revisit it again this summer.
They have drawn up a striker shortlist, and on that list is a new name that has been added to it – Mathys Tel of Bayern Munich.
