(Video)- Chalobah opens up on first 90 minutes since pre season

Trevoh Chalobah completed his first 90 minutes since pre season back in July last year in last night’s 3-2 victory against Leeds in the FA Cup.

The 24 year old was handed his first start of the season following a couple of substitute appearances as he partnered Axel Disasi in the heart of the Blues defence.

Mauricio Pochettino rotated his side and given it was Chalobah’s first start in a long time he looked comfortable and came through the game unscathed.

Afterwards speaking to Chelsea TV he opened up on how difficult it had been with this being the first time in his career he has been out for a long period of time with an injury.

He said: “It’s been difficult time for me, it’s the first time in my career obviously being out for this long and having setbacks after setbacks.”

It’s great to see the 24 year old fit and back in a Chelsea shirt and with the Blues squad stretched it is likely Chalobah will get more opportunities between now and the end of the season.
